WHAT DO I DO?
I use a personal coaching approach combined with the psychological philosophies, theories, and models of transactional analysis.
Personal coaching can help people to identify and overcome challenges that may be preventing them from achieving their goals, while transactional analysis can provide insight into the underlying dynamics of these challenges and help clients to develop strategies for overcoming them.
The people I coach gain significant and deep insights into themselves through regular, focused conversations. These insights might be about patterns in their thinking, feeling or behaviour- their way of being in relation to self, others and the way they see the world working.
I coach people from diverse backgrounds to bring a shift to a chosen aspect of their lives, work, relationships, communication, or approach to things. Some coaching clients want to change a professional or personal relationship, others want to reach a particular goal. As a personal coach I work with you as a person who has meaning and whose life has meaning.
The changes that people want to see happen in life can only come after a shift in how they approach the task, situation, other person or themselves. This shift is what we aim for and create together in the coaching work, and what will lead to the meaningful and sustainable change you want to see and experience in your life.
In coaching with transactional analysis, I help my clients to identify the mental models, interactions and approaches that are causing problems in their relationships and approach to life, and to learn how to change these patterns in order to improve their relationships with people, self, and tasks.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
By approaching your lived experience with curiosity, we create new insights and the possibility of change. In coaching conversations you will learn to recognise and let go of old ways of problem solving which do not serve you, and create new ones which are helpful and highly productive. You will be able to use your existing and new strengths with awareness, intention and potency to solve not only your immediate challenges, but unforeseen ones as well.
As a coach it is my passion to provide a safe and potent environment in which you can explore yourself holistically, psychologically and spiritually. We create this safe and potent space by agreeing on confidentiality expectations, professional boundaries, the “how” of our work, and even an open conversation about what might get in the way. You will gain deeper insight into yourself and your challenges, opening up positive potential to personal and professional change.
Personal coaching and transactional analysis can be used together in a number of ways to help people achieve their goals and improve various aspects of their lives.
- Setting goals: Transactional analysis can be used to help people identify their goals and motivations, and to develop goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-related.
- Identifying and changing communication patterns: Transactional analysis can help people to identify communication patterns that may be holding them back, and to learn how to change these patterns in order to improve their relationships and achieve their goals.
- Improving relationships: Personal coaching and transactional analysis can be used together to help clients improve their relationships with others, whether at work or in their personal lives.
- Overcoming challenges: Personal coaching can help clients to identify and overcome challenges that may be preventing them from achieving their goals, while transactional analysis can provide insight into the underlying dynamics of these challenges and help clients to develop strategies for overcoming them.
- Tracking progress: Both personal coaching and transactional analysis can be used to help clients track their progress and make any necessary adjustments to their plans in order to achieve their goals.
HOW OFTEN DO WE WORK TOGETHER?
One coaching session every two to four weeks works well for many people. Each situation is different and the details of our coaching arrangement will be mutually designed based on your own circumstances.
For clients connecting to me through Temenos Retreat, I do single sessions, with the option to continue online if desired.
Consider that between coaching sessions,
- you find an opportunity to take action based on your insights and strategies planned in the previous coaching session
- you will set aside some time to reflect on how these actions have helped you reach your outcomes, or why they did not
- you will think about the specific focus for the next coaching session
As you will have a different context and outcome compared to the next person, the timing of your sessions depends on your own needs and circumstances.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
I approach my coaching fees with the philosophy of “co-creating the agreement”. Because of this the coaching fees I charge may differ from country to country and person to person based on their circumstances.
