Coach Supervision
Supervision provides opportunities for you to recognise how you approach both your practice and engagement with your clients. It is a supportive and confidential space for talking about the things you find difficult in your experiences as a coach, getting deeper insight into your strengths, and discovering and working on your developmental areas.
In supervision you will recognise patterns emerging from your experiences with clients and your practice as a business.
What is Supervision?
Supervision works with coaches to maintain professional standards, deliver effective and ethical practice, and self-regulation.
More than cognitive problem-solving, it is a space in which to shift your overall relationship with self, clients, and your practice. Through regular supervision we aim for confidence grounded in a solid understanding of how people and organisations work, and the relationships they experience.
Supervision offers
- Human connection– sharing with a compassionate, empathetic and caring listener brings enormous relief. Beyond this balancing experience in a session, you will gain a skilful awareness of your own implicit ways of coping with stress. This enables you to prepare for challenges before they cause personal concern, and learn to regulate your responses to client/organisational behaviours and attitudes.
- Professional development – gain perspective and insight into the dynamic interactions between yourself, clients, and organisations. Deepen your understanding of practice principles, theory, and frameworks for effective coaching relationships.
- Strategic action– plan your use of new knowledge, skills, and attitudes in relevant cases; understand where you are in your professional development journey and plan your path.
