ABOUT ME AS SUPERVISOR
I have a PCC credential with the International Coach Federation, ESIA and EIA Senior Practitioner with EMCC, and Diplomas in Coaching and Coach Supervision.
I use a relational approach, working empathically and in the here-and-now. Much of my philosophy, technique and framework is informed by Gestalt and transactional analysis, a social psychology which describes how people think, feel, and behave in relationships and communication.
In supervision I am responsive to my supervisees’ level of coaching experience and their personal experiences. Together we consider and work with
- The safety of coach and client
- Personal experiences and traits which impact engagement with clients
- Personal approach to running a coaching practice
- The unique challenges of the coaching, including coaching in organisations
I approach this work with empathy and support, recognizing the many layers of emotion and complexity that coaches experience. Together, we will explore the issues that arise, work to build skills and understanding, and develop strategies that will allow coaches to work more effectively with clients.
About the Experience
This group work is not about the “what”, or the circumstances, it is about the “who”, values and meaning. The group will deepen awareness of “being” as a coach and a person, leading to tangible outcomes to apply to practice, whether that be with a specific organisational/individual client, or practice as a whole.
In this supervision group you can expect:
– tight contracting on confidentiality, to create an effective space for group work.
– a transformative experience, shifting thinking and being in relation to a challenge
– a range of modalities to use as a platform for discovery and resolution
Confidentiality is vital. The experiences coaches share in the group do not identify clients, organisations or other personal circumstances. The learning in this group is about you as a person, as a coach, and as a professional. What you share in the group will be about one’s experience of the circumstances, not the circumstances themselves. Where information for context is required, a brief mapping-out of the scenario suffices and maintains confidentiality.
